My First Lush Visit

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

This past Thursday, Lush finally here in Charleston. I bold and italicize it because it has taken about a year for it to finally open its doors to the public. After finding out in my class, I couldn’t stop thinking about going. So once I left class about 8:30, I decided to drive by and see if they were still open and I was happy to see the lights still on and people shopping around inside. The store is quite small, as most Lushes are, but houses plenty of choices of products. Cassandra, one of the employees, quickly greeted me and I told her what I was looking for. I had such a happy visit, it made my night. So here is what I got…

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub- “A vodka infused cocktail for bright, fresh skin. Go coconuts with our best-selling sea salt scrub.” This may literally be the best body care product I’ve ever smelled. With avocado, coconut, limes, and vodka, it is “like rubbing a margarita on your face” (actual words from Cassandra). The sea salt in the scrub really seals the deal too, it gives the scrub its grainy texture. I used it first on my face as I bought it for my face, and it made it instantly feel so smooth. I could just smell it all day and it felt so nice on my skin. As Lush products are a bit pricey, this one is definitely worth purchasing.

Bubblegum Lip Scrub- This little scrub was also on my Lush list and it was a definite when I walked in. The way it works is really fun and unique, and smells absolutely delicious too. You take a tiny amount, which is only what you’ll need, and rub it all over your lips. When you’ve rubbed that in, you just lick off the excess, rub a lip balm over it, and you’re set! You can definitely use this every day or every few days to make it last. It tastes delicious, has adorable packaging, and so needs to be in your basket.
