The Body Shop Body care

I was recently introduced to The Body Shop line at Ulta last week while there with one of my good friends. She showed me one of the best body butters I've ever tried - after much deliberation, I bought a mini mango-scented one that you can find in one of those "On the Go" stands. This past week I went back and purchased the body sorbet in the same scent.

Here's a little bit of history for you - The Body Shop brand is all about being natural and pure with its ingredients. Having opened its original store in England almost 40 years ago, its expansion into America has shown its success and popularity among the public.

These products are my first ever Body Shop purchases. I have to say I'm already very satisfied with my items. They smell exactly how The Body Shop says they do: natural and pure and free of any harmful chemicals. The mango scent of these two products smells like I actually plucked a fresh one right out of a tree!
The Body Butter

What first got me hooked on this this body butter was the scent. I'm very into citrus and tropical fruits - this mango was definitely something I had to have. Secondly, the packaging is small enough that I can just throw it in my purse and keep it on hand in case I need it while I'm out. And thirdly, I find that I only need to use about a quarter-size amount or smaller - depending on your hand size and your urge to moisturize - to apply all over my hands (but you can use it for other places, too!).

The Body Sorbet

I first saw these on my visit to Ulta last week, but after reading a blog post about them on one of my favorite blogs, I knew I had to have one for myself. All the scents smell incredible, but I went with the mango again to match my body butter. It promises to "melt into skin…with fresh moisture…keeping you hydrated without the sticky feeling."

After using it in the morning and at night, I have to say the product does do the job of moisturizing but it has the oddest texture I've ever used. It feels a bit like some jelly and a body scrub went on a date and had a little too much fun. The gelatinous texture is a little weird to touch but it absorbs nicely onto your skin. It also comes in five other scents and they're all available at The Body Shop (if you're lucky enough to have one) or just at your local Ulta!
