If you, like me, pay attention to the product releases in the beauty community or frequent the Sephora app like it's your job (...oh wait...it's mine), then you may have noticed an uptake in makeup brands crossing over into the world of skincare, and the same could be true of some skincare brands dabbling in makeup launches too but that's not why we're here! I'm looking at you, Too Faced...you tried. Huda Beauty has started to break the mold with this scrub that's not a scrub. Bobbi Brown and Tarte have been doing both for years...but they've earned their place in my opinion. Milk Makeup decided to enter the ring with their Vegan Milk Moisturizer and soon followed with a cleanser.

The Products I Didn't Like

As someone who is a self proclaimed beauty lover and has had Platinum and Rouge memberships between Ulta and Sephora for years, I've tried a lot of products...I've also gotten to try a lot because of my job. There's something nostalgic too about looking back on old products I used! Thankfully, products I've loved out weigh the ones I didn't. And after this post, they can move onto a good home!

What I Bring to the Beach: Skin Edition

Sometimes going to the beach means finding every item you think you might possibly need on that barren landscape we call the sand. I’m like a frantic mother trying to scramble around and gather everything before I jet out the door. Why am I like this? Going to the beach and doing nothing should be painless. And yet I need all the snacks, water, and sunscreen I can get once I’m out there. But now I’m a smarter version of myself with a stacked skincare collection and more ready than ever to get sand EVERYWHERE...but at least I can avoid a sunburn.

MilkMakeup Kush Mascara

I didn’t even think about making a blog post about this mascara but once I started thinking about it and how much I use it, I realized it needed one. No, it deserved one. Mascara is truly my favorite makeup product. Like, going to a desert island and I can only bring three things...mascara is going to be one of them. Even if I won’t see myself, at least everyone else (assuming I’m not embarking to this island alone), will be jealous of my lashes. My best friend and I were talking the other day about how off we feel complexion wise without our lashes lifted to the heavens and coated in multiple black layers. It makes us not even feel like ourselves.
